Does Lake County schools have free lunch? ›

All students are eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch meal thru the Community Eligibility Provision. All meals served meet nutritional standards established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Breakfast is $1.75 for all grade levels. Elementary lunch prices are $2.50. Secondary lunch prices are $2.75. In order to receive free or reduced meals, parents will need to complete a new free and reduced application for the 2024-2025 school year.

Students qualify for free lunches if their household income is at or below 130 percent of the federal poverty guidelines.

Can a private school or charter school participate in the Free School Meals Program by teaming up with a public school district? Yes. A private school or charter school may work with their local school district to become a joint agreement site under the school district.
